The piece I submitted for UB was to fulfill a 'contest' of sorts. I was to show a turning point in the story where two of the characters had to make choices that weren't going to work out well for either of them.The submission rules are here. Challenging trying to get it down to the correct number of words. I'm pretty wordy.
